The Tusk Force

About The Team

In September, a team of eight will be traveling to Kenya to begin a road trip through Tanzania and Malawi before arriving in Zambia to compete in the Elephant Charge Zambia. The Elephant Charge is an annual 4×4 event held in the Zambian wilderness, where 35 teams of cars and motorbikes are challenged to navigate a demanding course of tough terrain over the shortest possible distance.

The Charge is organized to raise money for conservation in Zambia, with a strong focus on “conservation through education.” Since 2008, the event has raised over $1955496, which has been distributed to effective conservation organizations working across the country. The event is hosted at a secret location each year, only revealed at the end of September.

In the last few years, Africa has seen an unprecedented amount of wildlife crime, including the illegal killing of elephants for their ivory.

Now coupled with the COVID-19 Pandemic and the resulting loss in funding, jobs and tourism, the challenge to protect Zambia’s wild places is even greater.

The Elephant Charge, participants, the beneficiaries and organisers are all part of the fight against the threat, now you can be part of it too!
